Oh! I hope it can be of some help and I hope after finishing it, you'll end up in the ‘I love Wuthering Heights’ camp and not the ‘I hate Wuthering Heights’ camp 🙂
I just read it! Wish I had read this first, would have helped! But still I loved it. (Ps I part listened to it on audiobook when I was on the run, and the narrator really helped with the Joseph dialogue, so that could be another little hack for people ).
one of my favorite Gothic books about destructive love! And a special bookish shout-out to the intricate narrative structure where you basically have a narration within a narration.
I practically *worship* 'Wuthering Heights'. I know that it is a bit dark at times, and I despise Heathcliff *most of the time*, but it is so beautifully written and the descriptions of the Yorkshire landscape are stunning. I did an exchange to the University of York, and one of my reasons was because of this book!
LOVE this book! It's one of my all time favorites. Your third point is, I think, the most important - too many people go in expecting a swoon-worthy love story and come away disappointed. - Shruti
I have wuthering heights on my fall TBR so this is pretty helpful. Thanks!

Wait there is a “i hate wuthering heights” camp?! 😂
Oh yes and for very valid reasons, if you read it you'll understand 😂
I plan to very soon! I think this will be a favorite of mine
I hope that too 😁

The audiobook option is so great! It wouldn't even have occurred to me. Also, I'm so happy to know you loved it

Yes, I know a lot of people don't like that super complicated narration style, but I personally really love it

It’s been so long since I’ve read it that, when I get to it this year, it might feel like the first time. Thanks for these tips!

I'm currently reading Anna Karenina and I wish you could also write a reading guide. <3
Oh! That's super exciting! I hope your reading experience is a nice one (even though the book itself doesn't invoke many nice feelings)
And to be honest, you're one of the many reasons I read it now, now I wanted to read the Wuthering Heights after.. :)
