I so enjoyed reading this post about Emily Brontë and hearing your thoughts... very interesting! I actually bought a copy of Wuthering Heights only yesterday in my local second-hand book shop and I am very excited to read it. I love Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, but I have not yet read any other books by her or her sisters. I have a copy of The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall siting on my shelf too which I would like to read... so many books but so little time lol!

I just finished reading Persuasion by Jane Austen this morning for the first time and I really enjoyed it. A bit slow at first I thought, but after I got into the love story I couldn't put it down! Have you read Persuasion? 😊

Tenant of Wildfell Hall is an amazing book, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s a more realistic book, unlike JE and WH, but a hard-hitting one.

Regarding Persuasion, yes I have and yes I liked it. In fact, recently I’ve been thinking of giving it a re-read. It’s a little slow, but I really find Anne’s development very satisfying to follow.

Nice, I look forward to reading it soon then! I am currently listening to Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë on Audiobook and I am enjoying her way of writing so far. 😊

Yes, Persuasion was definitely slow to start, but like you, I enjoyed Anne’s character development throughout the book. ♡

Hope you enjoyed Agnes Grey, it was the first Anne Brontë book I read, I want to re-read it someday.
