I love to browse for books to buy in physical places -- book stores, used book stores, library sales, yard sales, book fairs -- and sometimes from Amazon. And Amazon also offers writers a way to publish their own books and get them out for people to enjoy. But all Amazon all the time -- I agree, not good.
Yes, I find it a good thing that people can now a days put their books out in the world comparatively easily. I, too, at times buy stuff from Amazon still, but am trying diversify more and more whenever I can, anyone having complete monopoly cannot be good news.
